Hello Eric,

Unfortunately there is no way to add Captcha to Contact Form widget. Anyway thank you very much for your idea! I have already added it to our Feature Requests List. Our developers will consider adding this feature in one of our future updates.

We really appreciate our customer's feedback. Please, contact us anytime!

Best regards,

Mathew Brown

Hello:

I would also like to request that this feature be added ASAP. I am constantly getting bogus bot solicitations through my contact page. It looks like the php code is readily available on the CAPTCHA site, so this should be relatively easy to implement?

Thank you.

Please add this. My contact forms are getting pounded. If not this, is there a work around?

Here is a work around:

  • Edit the widget and add a single line text field.
  • Under "field is required" select YES
  • Under "text to show" put a question such as How much is 2 + 2?
  • Select dropdown for additional properties
  • Set Maximum length as 1
  • Under Minimum Value put 3
  • Under Maximum Value put 5
  • Allow Negative? NO

Make sure to apply the setting and then check them to make sure they saved. It took mine 4 times to save them. Then save the MotoCMS page. I did this on the html version and it seems to be working ok. We will see if it stops the problem.

That should help stop the bots maybe?

Additional: Under Validator select "Number Validator".

And for max chars, you can set it to whatever you want.

ok, so that didn't work. So, after I got bombed with more spambots, In the form field, when the answer was wrong, my message was <are you a bot?>.

Then I created an email filter to reject all email where the body contains are you a bot?

So while it doesn't stop them, it stops them from getting it to me. :-)

OK, tested for a week and it's working perfectly so far. Zero spam-bots getting through.

Works well. Great idea. How much longer before we can get a captcha?

Well I thought it was working. Starting to get botmails where the value that is supposed to be a number is letters?
