Hello Alberto,

Favicon should be in .png format. You will be able to set it under Website Preferences tab. Dimensions should be 16×16 or 32×32 pixels.

Also you can upload it to your template root directory in .ico format,  that will work too.

Best regards,

Hi

I have added the favicon as suggested above 32 x 32 pixels in .png format and saved it but it is still not working on my website.  Can you please suggest where I am going wrong?

Thanks

Hello,

Most likely you are running Internet Explorer - it has difficulties with .png favicons. Please follow my second advise from the answer above:

Just upload favicon file to your template root directory (favicon should be in .ico format in this case).

Hello Eric

Thanks for your speedy response.  We are running Internet Explorer so that could be why.  Unfortunately, I am a novice and not sure how to upload to the template root directory.  Could you please explain in layman's terms.

Kind regards

Heidi

Hello Heidi,

The easiest way is to use File Manager application from your webhosting control panel. Just launch File Manager, navigate to the directory where the template is located and place your favicon.ico file there (where website.swf and moto.swf files are located)

If you will face any difficulties with this, please contact your hosting provider support team, they will provide you with more detailed explanation on how to use File Manager.

Best regards,
