Want to modify cursor behavior

We like the Matrix Template 27447, but are looking to make one modification.

After you click on an thumbnail image on the spinning globe, you are taken to a page with the full size image. The addition we would like is to the cursor behavior while hovering over the image. Presently, when near the left edge, the cursor is a translucent '<' and a click will go to the prior image. When near the right edge, the cursor is a translucent '>' and a click will go to the next image. When in the rest of the image, the cursor is a translucent 'X' and a click will go back to the swirling globe of thumbnails.

What we want to change is when the cursor is near the bottom. Either full width or just in the center (where the cursor is normaly an 'X') is not important. What is important is that the cursor changes to something like "more info" (if limited to 1 char, 'V' will suffice), and that a click will take the user to an image-specific web page, to allow us to provide additional information.

I am told this is a fairly easy modification, and I'm pretty good with code, just don't know where to look to find the cursor code, so I can try to add this feature.  I should be able to, based on present actions taken, extend the functionality by subdividing the screen and adding the new behavior.

Did that make any sense?

Note: In playing with the editor, it looks like you can set the default action of clicking on a thumbnail on the globe to go to a link, but we like the existing click-to-enlarge default behavior.  The ability to move between pictures from an enlarged image (the '<' & '>' cursor & click) is also desired.  The only other option we see at the moment is to add extra height to the image and type the info that would be on a web page in that space. This is considered too high maintenance, as things will change over time, and require EVERY image to be edited, rather than quick text edits in the html files.

If there's already a thread on this modification, or a better way to word this (key words that someone more familiar with flash (etc...) would recoginse), please let me know.

Thanks!

Hello Ken,

You can make such changes by modifying your fla files. You will need an advanced knowledge of Flash and ActionScript 3 for this.

Or you can make a customization request to our template tuning. Please, submit a ticket providing us with the detailed description of the changes you would like to make, so we wil consider the value, the terms and the price for this customization work.

Best regards,

Kostas Snider
