Adding links and click actions to website elements improves navigation and helps visitors interact with your website more efficiently. You can make buttons, text, images, icons, menus, and other elements clickable, allowing users to open pages, scroll to sections, download files, contact you, and more.

Elements That Support Click Actions
You can assign click actions to multiple types of website elements, including:
- text;
- buttons;
- images;
- icons.
These actions help improve user experience and website navigation.

How to Add a Link to Text
To make text clickable:
- Select the text element.
- Click the chain icon in the floating toolbar.
- Click the gear icon next to the link field to open advanced settings.
- Choose the required click action from the dropdown menu.
This method is commonly used for:
- navigation links;
- email links;
- external URLs;
- call-to-action text.
How to Add a Link to a Button
Buttons are commonly used for navigation and calls to action.
To add a button link:
- Click the button.
- Open its settings using the gear icon.
- Navigate to the Action tab.
- Select the desired click action.
Note: Buttons without assigned actions display an exclamation mark in the editor.
How to Add a Link to an Image
Images can also be made clickable.
To configure an image action:
- Select the image.
- Open the settings panel using the gear icon.
- Choose the required click action from the dropdown menu.
Important: Background images cannot contain links.
How to Add a Link to an Icon
Icons are often used for:
- social media links;
- navigation;
- contact actions.
To add an action to an icon:
- Click the icon.
- Open the settings panel.
- Navigate to the Action tab.
- Select the needed click action.

The website builder supports multiple click actions for different use cases.
Scroll to Block
This option scrolls visitors to a specific section on the same page.
To configure it:
- Select Scroll to Block from the action menu.
- Choose the required block by its anchor name.
You can also visually select the target block using the target icon.
This feature is commonly used for:
- one-page websites;
- navigation menus;
- landing page navigation.
Tip: Use custom Block Anchor Names for easier navigation management, you can set them up in each Block Settings > Info:
Open Page
This action redirects visitors to another page on your website.
To configure it:
- Select Open Page.
- Choose the target page.
You can also enable:
- opening the page in a new browser tab.
Tip: You can create a new page directly from the page selection menu for the Button element.
Jump to Block on Another Page
This feature redirects users to a specific section located on a different page.
To set it up:
- Select Jump to Block on Another Page.
- Choose the target page.
- Select the block anchor.
This is useful for:
- multi-page websites;
- large navigation structures;
- linking directly to specific content sections.
Open Pop-Up
This click action opens a pop-up window after clicking an element.
To configure it:
- Select Open Pop-Up.
- Choose the required pop-up window.
Common use cases include:
- contact forms;
- newsletter subscriptions;
- promotional offers;
- booking forms.
Close Pop-Up
This action closes an active pop-up window.
It is typically used for:
- close buttons;
- cancel buttons;
- confirmation actions.
To configure it, select Close Pop-Up in the click action settings.
Web Address (External Link)
This option redirects visitors to an external website.
To configure it:
- Select Web Address.
- Paste the full URL, including
https://.
Additional options:
- open the link in a new browser tab;
- add the
nofollowattribute.
Important: External links are available for Pro websites only.
Tip: Use the
nofollowattribute for sponsored or untrusted links when needed.
Phone Link
Phone links allow visitors to call you directly from mobile devices.
To configure it:
- Select Phone.
- Enter the phone number with the country code.

+1 555 123 4567This feature is especially useful for:
- business websites;
- service providers;
- local companies.
Email Link
Email actions allow visitors to open their email application and contact you directly.
To configure it:
- Select Email.
- Enter your email address.
- Optionally add an email subject.
This is useful for:
- support requests;
- contact sections;
- sales inquiries.
File Download
This option allows visitors to download files directly from your website.
Supported use cases include:
- PDFs;
- brochures;
- catalogs;
- price lists;
- presentations.
To configure it:
- Select File Download.
- Click Select File.
- Upload a new file or choose an existing one.

Scale Image
This action is available specifically for image elements.
When users click the image, an enlarged version opens in a pop-up window.
To enable it:
- Open the image settings.
- Select Scale Image in the click action menu.
This feature is ideal for:
- portfolios;
- galleries;
- product images;
- photography websites.
Important: Images cannot be linked to:
- email actions;
- phone actions;
- file downloads.
Workaround for downloading files
In case you want to link your element to a file, but the "File Download" click action is unavailable, you can add a Text element, link it to the needed file download, then save edits (Publish site), open page preview in web browser, copy file URL (right mouse button click - Copy address), then go to the needed element Settings > Action > choose the "Web address" option and paste file URL there!
