How to add a Password Protected Page

Below is the guide on creating a password protected page on your site.

First, you should add a pop-up window on your site, so open the Pop-ups tab on the toolbar:

Click on the "+ Add Pop-up" button at the bottom of the tab:

Select the Custom block in the Popup Blocks gallery:
While in the pop-up editing mode, customize the block design as you wish adding text, background, changing paddings, spacing, adding widgets and so on.

Then hover the block, click on the "plus" button and add a Contact Form widget as shown below:

Hover the contact form to open its settings by clicking on the chainwheel (setting button):

Remove all of the fields from the contact form and leave only the Short text:

Open the field settings by clicking on the "chainwheel" next to it, change the field name, and enable the option "Make this field required". So, the users won't be able to submit the form until they enter any value in the field:

Now, scroll down to enter the password for the page in the Exact value field:

This will be the password to share in order to give access to a page.
After you've configured the fields, you need to go to the Action tab and select the Close pop-up action.

Password request popup has been created!

Now, you need to set the correct pop-up display parameters. To do it, go to its settings and enable the Show after page load option at the Triggers tab, and then set the delay to 0 seconds:

It's important to enable the "Show on pages" option and select the needed page that you want to make password-protected:

In the Frequency drop-down list of the Triggers tab you need to select "Every time":

Now, go to the Behavior tab and turn off the Close on pressing Escape or clicking outside the pop-up option in order to restrict hiding or closing the popup without entering the password:

At this step, we'll make the popup stretched all screen width and height - just to avoid showing content of the password protected page before the correct password is inserted - locate the Layout tab, enable the option  "Stretch to full screen" and disable the Show "X" icon to close the pop-up:

This way, you've disabled all possible ways to bypass the page protection.

Now, the user will not be able to access it by simply closing the pop-up. The page will be displayed only after one correctly fills in the form.

Finally, Publish your site to apply these edits!
