If your website doesn't use an SSL certificate, modern web browsers can say that the website is not secure. SSL is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted connection between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. Therefore, search engines rank secured websites higher.
SSL is recommended to be installed to a website having a domain. In case you don't have a domain name for your site yet, you can go to our Purchase a Domain page to choose a domain and order it in few easy steps.
In order to make your website secure you should check your site to be available via HTTPS. You can do this by typing your website address in your web browser address bar the following way and following this address:
https://yoursite.com
In case your site is opened correctly with no error, then SSL is already enabled on your site and you should just configure redirect from HTTP (non-secure) to HTTPS (secure) version of your site. You can do this by following this web site redirects guide.
In case your site is not shown by link https://yoursite.com , then you should either contact your hosting provider asking them to provide your site with an SSL certificate (enabling HTTPS connection) or purchase an SSL certificate with us by following this link. Once SSL is purchased and activated, you'll also need to configure redirects.
In case there's any question configuring redirects, feel free to contact our support team!
