Adding subdomains

There are two primary methods for setting up a subdomain, depending on who manages the root domain. If you purchased your domain from Moto4 directly or linked your existing domain through the NS method, all future adjustments must be made within your account.

If you've purchased a domain directly from Moto4, follow these steps:

1. Go to your site’s Settings and find the Domains tab to add a subdomain.

2. Hover over your domain, click the three dots in the top corner, and select Manage DNS Records from the dropdown menu.

3. In the new window, click Add new DNS record

4. Choose the A record type, enter the subdomain name in the Host field, and direct it to the required IP address.

5. Click Save, and allow time for the records to propagate.

Please note: it can take up to 24-48 hours for the DNS records to fully propagate across the globe. This is a normal procedure for all domains, including subdomains. During this period, the connection might be unstable, and the site may not be accessible on all devices

Setting up subdomains for a domain managed by a third-party provider:

If you're managing your domain through a third-party provider, you'll need to create a subdomain within that platform. For assistance, you can either contact the provider's support team or check their Help Center for step-by-step instructions.

To connect an external subdomain to a site hosted on Moto4, you must point it to our platform using an A record.

1. Log in to your account with your domain registrar.

2. Go to your domain's DNS settings and add an A record with this value: 35.187.82.108

3. Save the changes and then connect the domain within the site's settings on Moto4.
